私たちの想い
Vision
わたしたちは地域社会の人たちと一緒に、子供たちを愛で一杯に満たし、未来へ向けて希望ある持続可能な社会を築いていけたらと願い、活動しています。
国際機関や多くの国で公用語としても使われている｢英語｣を用いて、主にインターナショナルスクール（国際幼稚園）・英会話クラス・デイケアの運営をしております。
その他、大人も子供も交流、社会貢献、自己啓発などを目的に様々な活動を企画しています。大人(保護者や地域住民) のための子育てワークショップ（体験型学習会）・秋祭り・その他地域でのチャリティーイベントなどを実施、公園清掃、ビーチクリーン、老人ホーム訪問、植林支援活動などを長年してきております。コロナ禍でもできる活動も模索しています。

NPO ハーモニー・インターナショナルは、「自主的な判断力と国際的な心を持ち、規則やお互いの人格を尊重するとともに、生命に対する慈しみを持った子どもを育てること」を使命（Mission）として、バリュー教育をメインとしたハーモニーメソッドを用い、持続可能な社会へ、また国際人として将来社会を担う子どもたちへ、ヒューマンバリュー、多文化な教育と英語イマージョンの環境を与えています。

Hi! I’m Ms. Maki!I was brought up in Kamakura, Japan. I studied abroad in America. My major was Social Studies and I'm a licensed nursery school teacher. I love children, animals, especially cats, and nature. I have a passion to support children to create their bright and sustainable future! Our school is not just an ordinary English school, but an international community!! Please come and join us!!

Now, I work as a software developer, and in my free time, I develop systems and volunteer to help high school foreign students with their lives here in Japan. Please feel free to talk to me. I hope we can have a fun time together!

I studied Fine Arts, Art History, and Art Education at Central Washington University so getting to work with children and seeing their amazing creativity is one of my favorite things in life! I love nature, animals, reading adventure books, music, seeing new places and trying new things. I believe that a person is never done growing and learning so let’s grow and learn new things together!

I’m a firm believer in the importance of making connections, and I deeply enjoy meeting and learning about new people and places! In my spare time, I enjoy drawing and writing, and I’m a major film buff. I’m also a big fan of cats!

I studied Swahili in college and worked for a fair trade organization after graduation. Working on handicrafts and cultural exchange projects around the world, I was exposed to a wide variety of cultures, which was a valuable experience.After giving birth, I felt and worked on the importance of nurturing a healthy mind through child rearing. My hobbies are sunbathing and flower arrangement.

- 2001
- 藤沢市藤が岡のアパートの上下でInternational Children’s Gardenがインターナショナルプリスクールとしてスタート。
- 2002
- SeedlingsとSunbeamsプログラムの開始。
- 2003
- ユネスコのリビング・バリュープログラムを全てのプログラムや活動に取り入れる。
- 2004
- Gateway International Centerは2月に正式な特定非営利活動法人（NPO）となる。Happy Talkをスタート。
- 2005
- ユネスコのリビング・バリューにより常任部であると正式な認定教育施設となる。
- 2006
- 新体制で再スタート。親子クラスのMusic Together とStorytimeプログラム開始
- 2007
- 藤沢市大鋸の一軒屋に転居

- 名称変更 NPO法人Gateway International Center からNPO法人Harmony Internationalへ

Volunteers & Interns
We are always open to anyone supporting our mission and wanting to be a part of our organisation.
We offer long term and short term volunteering opportunies throughout the year, especially when we have our big events in November and March and during the Summer school season in July and August.
Volunteering and taking an internship at HI gives you the chance to be a part of our team supporting the children and our sustainable future while learning from each other. Working in a multicultural and value-based environment will definitely give you confidence, new interests and also will develop new skills.
