This class is designed for elementary-aged children and focuses on all aspects of English-learning: Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. Today our students practiced their reading skills while learning more in depth vocabulary to describe the interior and exterior of a house! They also practiced using prepositions and adjectives together to create detailed descriptions. ※ 【🌿Kindergarten🌿】 Welcome back Kindergarten friends! What a wonderful first day of the new term! We were so happy to see our returning friends and excited to welcome some new faces to our Kindergarten family! We celebrated with a special Welcome Party for our new friends. It was filled with smiles and fun! As a whole group, we also took some time to review our school rules and talk about why they are so important. When we all understand and follow our school rules, we can create a safe and happy learning environment where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and ready to learn together. And of course there was plenty of time for learning through play! ※ 【🌿Daycare🌿】 　 Our students in Daycare are having so much fun exploring the Kitchen Set together! Though imaginative play, they’ve been creating their own restaurant settings and experimenting with different food combinations. They also practice taking turns as the chefs, customers, and restaurant staff. After learning about the different food groups and exploring the differences between healthy and unhealthy foods, the children put their knowledge to the test during their play! ※ #【🌿Harmony Stars🌿】 Ours Stars A students got creative with a fun hands on challenge: building their very own Mouse Mazes! 🐭🪤 They had to think carefully about how a mouse would move through the maze and use their ideas to create a path that would work. Once their mazes were finished, they presented them to the class, explaining their choices and how they came up with their ideas. 💡 The students also talked about the different materials they used. They discussed which ones were strong or weak, easy or difficult to work with, and why some worked better than others. Then came the most exciting part, testing each other’s mazes! They got to put their classmates’ creations to the test and see how well their ideas worked in practice. ※ 【🌿Kindergarten🌿】 The kindergarten graduates and last years graduates came to HIS for a very special sleepover! We splashed and played in the pool and then enjoyed a delicious curry dinner. Afterwards we each took turns smashing open a watermelon and happily ate it once we finished the job! 🍛🍉 Then it was off to the Harmony Night Market where the children had a fantastic time playing games and going shopping for yummy treats! 🌭🍿 Finally we wound down for the night with a short movie and a bedtime story before settling down for a good nights sleep 😴 The next morning we began with yoga and a healthy breakfast before saying goodbye ☀️ What a wonderful and unforgettable memory for everyone!

※ Today was first aid and emergency response training day for our teachers. 🚑 Everyone listened carefully to the firefighter and practiced the lifesaving techniques! Then they carefully removed the Montessori materials from the shelves. Working together, they dusted the shelves and made sure everything was nice and clean. Finally, they thoughtfully returned each material to its proper place, keeping our classroom beautiful and organized. Through this hands-on activity, the children learned that caring for our classroom is something we can do together!
